Kitchen and bathroom remodeling in Lititz, PA

A bathroom or kitchen remodel in Lititz is quoted as a project after a walk-through — a written estimate you sign online, not an hourly rate.

Bathrooms and kitchens taken apart and put back better: new tile, vanities, tubs and showers, cabinets, counters, lighting and fixtures.

What it costs

Quoted as a project. We set up a walk-through, and you get a written estimate with the work broken out by piece, which you sign online. Nothing starts before that, and if something changes you get a change order with a price before it happens.

Hourly handyman work is on the rate sheet; this isn't that.

What's included

  • A walk-through and a written estimate you sign online, broken out by piece so you can see where the money goes
  • Demo, carpentry, drywall, tile, cabinets, counters, trim, paint and the fixtures going back in
  • A licensed plumber and electrician for the parts that need one, scheduled by me and included in the price
  • One person running the whole thing, so you have one number to text

What's not

  • Picking your finishes for you. I'll tell you what I'd do, but the tile and the faucet are yours to choose

What to have ready

  • A few photos of what you like, if you have them
  • The things you can't live without and the things you could skip
  • A budget range. Kitchens and bathrooms can go a lot of directions and the number steers which one

Questions people ask

How long will my bathroom be out of commission?
A straightforward bathroom is usually a couple of weeks. I'll give you a schedule with the estimate, and if you've got only one bathroom we plan around that.
Can you keep my cabinets and just do the counters and backsplash?
Yes. A lot of kitchens need a refresh, not a gut. New counters, backsplash, paint, hardware and lighting can change the whole room for a fraction of the cost.
Do you do the plumbing and electrical yourself?
The parts that need a license, no. I line up a licensed plumber or electrician, they do their part, and it's all in my estimate so you're not managing anybody.
Will it look like the picture I sent?
I'll tell you if the picture fits the room and the budget, and what gets you closest if it doesn't.

How the job goes

Kitchens and bathrooms are where the surprises hide: a soft spot in the subfloor under the toilet, a vent that goes nowhere, a wall that turns out to be holding something up. That’s why the job starts with a walk-through and not with a number over the phone.

The estimate is broken out so you can see what demo costs against tile against cabinets, and trim it to what you want to spend. Then I take the room apart, fix whatever needs fixing underneath, and put it back the way you picked. The carpentry, drywall, tile, cabinets, counters, trim and paint are mine; a licensed plumber or electrician does the parts that need one.
