Appliance installation in Lititz, PA

A dishwasher or disposal swap in Lititz runs the $70 hourly rate plus the $30 service charge — most take 1–3 hours, so $100–$240 before materials.

Dishwashers, over-the-range microwaves, garbage disposals, washers and dryers, swapped out or installed where the hookups are already there.

What it costs

$70 per hour — most of this work takes 1–3 hours.

$30 service charge. Covers the trip and the first look. Applies once per visit, including the preset jobs.

Materials are extra, at cost, with the receipt. The full rate sheet has the rest of the fine print.

What's included

  • Water and power off, the old unit disconnected and slid out without wetting the floor
  • The new one connected to the water line, the drain and the power that's already there
  • Leveled, anchored to the cabinet or the counter, and the trim or filler panel it came with fitted
  • A full cycle run before I leave, and every joint checked dry

What's not

  • Gas connections. A gas range or gas dryer hookup is a licensed plumber's work, not mine
  • New plumbing or a new circuit. No shutoff, no drain or no outlet where the unit goes means work to price first
  • The appliance itself, and taking the old one away

What to have ready

  • The new unit on site, with its manual and install kit. The hose and the cord are often sold separately
  • A clear path from the door to the opening
  • Somewhere for the old unit to go

Questions people ask

Will you install an appliance I bought myself?
Yes. Where you bought it makes no difference and you don't need the store's install package.
Can you hook up a gas range or a gas dryer?
No. Gas lines are a licensed plumber's work. I'll do the electric, the venting and the leveling around one.
Can an over-the-range microwave go where my range hood is?
Usually. It needs a cabinet above to bolt into, an outlet inside that cabinet, and either a duct to reuse or the recirculating filters. I check all three before anything comes off the wall.
What if the new unit doesn't fit the opening?
I measure the opening before the old one comes out, so we find that first. Trimming a cabinet or moving a shutoff is extra work, and I price it then rather than after.

How the job goes

Most appliance installs are a swap: the water line, drain and outlet are already there, so the job is getting the old one out and the new one in square. The time goes to what you don’t see: a shutoff valve that won’t close, a drain hose with no high loop so the sink backs up into the dishwasher, a dishwasher that was never anchored, a disposal flange set in the wrong putty.

Dishwashers get a high loop or an air gap, an anchor to the counter or cabinet, and leveling so the door closes on its own. Disposals get a new sink flange, with the dishwasher knockout punched out before it goes on. Over-the-range microwaves get the cabinet drilled to the template and the blower set to vent or recirculate. Washers and dryers get the shipping bolts out, the feet leveled, and the vent clamped. Then a full cycle, and every joint checked before I leave.
